Every parent wants the best for their child and every parent wants their child to fulfil their full potential whilst in our care.
At the nursery, each child works with a caring Key Practitioner, who observes, plans and assesses that child’s progress towards the Early Learning Goals, in partnership with the people who know that child best, their parents.
Interesting and topical themes are in place help children to make sense of the world around them.
Trips and visits to local places of interest such as museums, Downing Street, Buckingham Palace and City Hall reinforce children’s learning.
Termly summative reports are prepared which carefully record each child’s achievements during that term and Open Afternoons, at the end of each term, are planned as an opportunity for parents to meet with their Key Practitioner in a formal setting, to discuss their child’s progress.
The Schoolhouse supports children in their transition to school.
We enjoy very close relationships with local schools in our area and Carol, who is also our Transitions Coordinator, supports children and their families in making this very important transition as easy as possible.
