LAS Nursery is based in a beautiful old schoolhouse, we have spacious classrooms and lots of natural light which creates a beautiful calm environment.

In addition to our base rooms we have a sensory room, a nursery canteen and an outdoor play area.  We also have a purpose built space in our playground for you to leave your prams on the days that your child is with us.

You will be able to check in on your little one to see what they're up to throughout the day using our room cameras.

For security, LAS Nursery is accessed by an entry fob system and CCTV is monitored by the office throughout.

Our Explorers’ room provides a home from home environment for our youngest children aged from 3 to 9 months.

Our babies are cared for by experienced educators who create a calm and nurturing atmosphere. This spacious room is self-contained with its own milk kitchen, sleeping and changing facilities all included in your fees.

At LAS Nursery we work with you to carefully assess your child’s needs and routines to best support the transition from home to nursery. We continuously review their needs, working with you through verbal feedback and via your online LAS Nursery account to ensure we provide the best possible care for your little one.

The Adventurers room is for our babies who are at walking stage and are advancing in their independence. There are specially designed learning zones set out and ready for the children to explore.

Our rooms feature a beautiful handmade wooden tree where we display family photos that help to make the children feel secure in a home from a home environment. Milk and nappies are included in the fees at not extra cost.

Our Imagineers’ room is where we care for children aged from 2 to 3 years old. This large base room is perfect for children to learn, play and explore freely.

This room is set up with different learning zones that provide a variety of exciting activities linked to their core text and individual interests.

For example, in the imaginative play zone, children can explore and play in their kitchen. When their kitchen work is done, they have the option to relax in the calm zone, and have a quiet moment exploring the books on offer.

Our Innovators’ room is for children aged 3 years and above. Here, Educators create learning experiences through thought provoking and stimulating activities linked to the topic of interest. 

We incorporate time outdoors every day to explore the messy mud kitchens, water station and play with the bikes and physical games available.

In this room we prepare the children for their next steps as they get ready to transition to primary school. We encourage independence such as being able to select and use resources of their own choice, and self-sufficiency skills including self-serving at meal times. Children learn how to work collaboratively, problem solve and recognise their own names. 

The Sensory Room

The sensory room provides a calming environment that helps to improve sensory processing, motor skills and the regulation of emotions and behaviour. We create a tranquil atmosphere using light projections and calming music or sounds of nature such as the rain, waterfalls, birds to soothe. There are sensory toys and soft toys and cushions to snuggle and relax.
